JAMAVAR DUPATTA
Description
The inspiration for this elegant silk chanderi jamavar design may be traced directly back to imported 18th century European woven silks. Well placed, sharply drafted floral designs of this type set against backgrounds of contrasting colors remained extremely popular for the use as tailored garments and lining throughout the early decades of the 20th century, especially at the Nizam's court. Even today, jamavars of this type are still referred to as "Hyderabadi"
Subtle variations in colours are natural since each piece is printed separately.
